ICPC 2009 CALL FOR Tool DEMONSTRATIONS
IMPORTANT DATES:
TOOL DEMONSTRATIONS:

AUTHOR NOTIFICATIONS:

CAMERA READY PAPERS DUE:

17th IEEE International Conference on Program Comprehension
TOOL DEMONSTRATIONS [TXT]
The Tool Demonstrations Session is an important part of the conference with the goal to allow live presentation of new research tool prototypes. We solicit proposals for tool demonstrations related to software analysis, reverse engineering, software evolution, and software visualization. Tools may range from academic prototypes to industrial-strength tools. We cannot accept commercial products. The demonstrations are intended to highlight scientific contributions. For further clarification, please contact the Tool Demonstrations Chair (Scott D. Fleming, sdf@cse.msu.edu).
We encourage submitting tool demonstration proposals to complement full papers submitted to the technical program. Whereas a technical paper is intended to give the background information and point out the scientific contribution of a new approach, the tool demonstration provides a good opportunity to show how the scientific approach has been translated into a useful tool.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Proposals for tool demonstrations must:
•describe the technology or approach, including its novelty, how it relates to other industrial or research efforts (including references), its expected benefits, and its availability and maturity (maximum length of 2 pages)
•include an appendix that provides a detailed description of how the presentation will be conducted (maximum appendix-length of 4 pages)
Tool demonstration proposals must be in the IEEE CS proceedings style - Two Column Format and must be submitted through EasyChair (see SUBMIT for details).
PRESENTATION
Accepted tool demonstrations will be allocated 2 pages in the conference proceedings (the proposal appendix will not be included in the proceedings). In addition, demonstrators will be expected to give a presentation that will be scheduled into the conference program. There will also be a demonstration area open to attendees at scheduled times during the conference. Demonstrators are expected to be available to give their demonstrations during those times.
